It’s so messed up that King Candy could just remove his subjects’ memories whenever he wanted. I find it hard to believe that in fifteen years, not one single person in all of Sugar Rush felt sympathy for the homeless, persecuted, abused nine-year-old kid whose only crime was existing. The palette swap racers were never shown bullying her. The other racers in general could have been subject to Taffyta’s bullying if they didn’t fall in line with her or when Vanellope wasn’t around to take all the fire. I bet they had some moments of compassion. They’re kids, not monsters. A decade and a half is a long time to stay bullies with no basic decency whatsoever at any point. Especially when you remember that Vanellope’s stolen code still left her with the sense that she was a racer and subconscious driving skills, and her fellow racers were similarly programmed to be like and be loyal to her. They could have been nice to her without allowing her to race. But it wouldn’t have mattered. Not with King Candy’s hands in the code.

Imagine having an arc of personal growth and forming a bond with Vanellope, who treasures it immensely, only to have all those memories and thoughts and feelings forcibly ripped out of your consciousness. By an authority figure you trusted and admired, no less. Would he always lock up Vanellope’s memories too, so that she wouldn’t expect anyone to give her a chance? Or do you think he’d let her feel betrayed and abandoned every now and then?

Sir Uther walks up to Noir Fontaine with purpose, having his usual happy-go-lucky smile and perky attitude. It was a surprise to see yet another human in this tournament ...well, atleast human-like. He instinctively reaches out for a handshake, eyes locked on Noir's face.

"Are you human?! MY~! I only ever saw the other one named Jade! Unlike her, you seem to be named after a color in french! Do tell, are there still any left of your species? Or are you all nearly extinct? Do you also have a history with Dark Matter in particular? I have so many questions~!! ☆"

His crystal eyes twinkle in delight, this truly was an opportunity to gain so much useful knowledge!

"Oh! And that entity, Zero as well! Does she exist in your world?"

"Hi! Wow! You're big! Bigger than I thought you round guys got!" 

Noir greets you with a boyish smile, though... ...He does not accept the handshake.

"You look like one of those Galactic Soldier Alliance people! I wrote fanfic about you! I can't let you read it because it's really cringe, but that's only cause when I was young I dreamed of being a hero, so...if you're ever recruiting, let me know maybe?! I'm not all that strong... but I'm passionate and have a strong sense of justice and somehow, I've got a lot of experience handling situations where all the evidence you killed anyone is gone because their bodies just disperse into matter once they're dead enough and the snow hides all the blood!"

Yeah, he's adopted, but he's my little brother and if anyone says anything mean about him, I'll ****** them!) They're surrounded by friends too, so I don't worry!"

"It was really hard to get off the planet last time I was there, and it was getting pre~tty cold and people who got left outside tended to disappear till next year when you could find them again thawing out on the road but it's hard to imagine we've just gone extinct! I mean, the people from the New World had to have gone somewhere!"

Elsewhere, an otherwise unremarkable looking sword in the stolen stash of a small Dark Matter begins to vibrate, seeking its host.

AN: Welp, add another one to Sir Uther's body count/list of crimes...

So, I still have some "Cheerful" (...although more like his brains have been scrambled) Noir asks to answer/send out that I'll get to when I have time (writing him is a bit exhausting tbh... ) but I have gone ahead and drawn this to "progress" back to the main tourney story! (You didn't think he could stay this way forever, did you?)

TLDR, We're back to regular Noir (...or whatever other AU hijinks happen to come his way that affect him in some manner?! Magic anons...???) but if you wished to interact with or send another question to Noir explicitly during his short lived cheerful phase, lemme know! Though whether I get to it will depend on how I'm feeling ^^

perks of being a LAL (long-awaited lesbian), 1 of ?

1. grade-A communicators. four words: we can comprehend Chads. when the bar’s been set at the bottom of the barrel, imagine how much a LAL is going to appreciate- if not dissolve into tears at your feet- over what you think are your just-OK communication skills.

2. planning skills. we (read: I) plan for every possible outcome because we're used to being the ones left dealing with it. no idea what to get your mom? we started a list months ago. forgot about that doctor's appointment? it's already on the Google calendar; sending you an invite now.

3. near-endless patience. I could wax poetic but, again: Chads.

4. affinity for and/or ability to use power tools. a unique skill most common among LALs who have lived with straight men. there's no better motivation to learn how to do shit yourself than living in what feels like a never-ending construction zone of unfinished projects.

in eiden's lil sanctuary with a fox, snake, wolf all the lil eidens are in various states of wet/torn/chewed eiden's daily tasks involve locating the plushies (and any dismembered parts of them) . wherever they may be. and mending/replacing them. every time he picks out a sopping muddy lil eito out of a pile of his used underwear he just wonders "why are you all like this"

It’ll be very satisfying to see Adam get his ass kicked and at the moment I’m wondering if he can even fight?

So far we’ve only ever seen the angels as part of one sided massacres, we’re told the demons can’t kill angels (making the dead angel unusual) but so far we haven’t even seen them try?

In either case the angels don’t need to be “strong” to fight an enemy that can’t even hurt them back

We do admittedly see him throwing a pretty big punch in the trailer, and Vaggie's clear military background implies that the Exorcists do at least have some formal training and organization.

BUT, I do think you are onto something here. Namely in that the Exorcists have clearly never had to deal with true organized resistance before, ie; people who are actually fighting back. Which I imagine will be the real tipping point.

As for Adam, I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out he really is more powerful than any of the Overlords, BUT he's also in that classic position of never having had to fight anyone at or even above his level, ie; Charlie.

And when he does, it's not going to be pretty.

For him at least. It's going to be REAL pretty for us XD
